On the heels of U.S. House Democrats’ “brat attack” in Washington, North Carolinians Against Gun Violence are staging a similar protest online. While they won’t be sitting and pouting in the chamber as the castaway hippies are doing in Washington, they are urging their followers to create social media protests urging representatives to try to erode your 2nd Amendment rights.

I have taken great offense to the House Members in Washington staging a sit in and found out through GRNC that North Carolinians Against Gun Violence is planning similar protests through social media. It’s ghoulish to take advantage of a crisis like the terrorist attack in Orlando to push this political agenda.
In addition, current legislation being discussed in Congress regarding the terror watch lists and background checks is a clear violation of due process protected under the 5th Amendment.
I urge you not to cave to this childish behavior and stay strong in defending our 2nd Amendment Rights.
I am watching closely through Grass Roots North Carolina and other news sources to see how you respond.
