WILL HOUSE REPUBLICANS SELL OUT GUN OWNERS LIKE DAUGHTRY DID?

GRNC warned you yesterday that Representative N. Leo Daughtry’s Judiciary I committee would water down H562, and they did (You can read more about H562 below). Now, there's a risk that they may try to send the bill to the Rules Committee to die.

Once again, it appears that some Republicans may have forgotten who gave them the supermajority they currently enjoy. Of course, it’s pro-Second Amendment voters like you who put them where they are, and you did it for a reason. Unfortunately, politicians often have short memories, and it looks like they need another reminder of who sent them to Raleigh.

REP. DAUGHTRY AND OTHERS CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE GUN RIGHTS VOTERS FOR GRANTED!

Don’t allow H562 to be sent to the rules committee to die! Please take a moment to phone and email Speaker Moore and Rep. David Lewis as soon as you see this message and demand that H562 be brought to the house floor for a vote! Below, under “Immediate Action Required,” see how you can quickly and easily send them a strong message.

H 562“Amend Firearms Laws.” This comprehensive bill would further open up the state fair to concealed handgun permit-holders, remove restrictions from educational properties, permit guns in locked vehicles at places of employment, remove CLEO discretion in signing BATFE paperwork for Title II firearms, authorize hunting with short-barreled rifles, and more.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!

  • TELEPHONE SPEAKER MOORE AND REP. DAVID LEWIS: Call Moore at 919-733-3451 andLewis at 919-715-3015. Insist that they move H562 to the floor for a vote immediately!

Dear Speaker Moore and Representative Lewis:

I am writing to demand that H562 be moved to the House floor for a vote immediately. Despite the wishes of North Carolina's law-abiding citizens, Representative Daughtry and the Judiciary I committee are now trying to move H562 to the Rules Committee to die (after watering it down in this morning's Judiciary I committee meeting).

Like many other North Carolinians, I am a pro-gun voter and am a large part of the reason that Republicans like you enjoy a supermajority in the General Assembly.

I will be carefully watching your actions on this matter through alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina.

Respectfully,
