If you think Republicans will prevent gun control from passing through Congress, you are wrong. On Monday, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) told \u201cThe Hill\u201d that he is acceding to demands by Democrat (and perennial gun banner) Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) to hold hearings on \u201cfirearms accessories.<\/strong><\/span>\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the NRA strategy of kicking this over to the BATFE in the (flawed) hope that they would institute a regulatory solution to so-called \u201cbump stocks\u201d backfired as the BATFE kicked the can back to Congress<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t just about \u2018bump stocks\u2019<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And if you think this is about banning the \u201cbump stocks\u201d nobody likes, you are equally wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n

With anti-gun Democrats and the media still at full-throated roar, roughly two dozen gun control bills have been introduced in the weeks since Las Vegas. While most of those won\u2019t see the light of a committee hearing, the so-called \u201cbump stock\u201d bans in the House and Senate will.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And what can you expect from the bills to see hearings in Grassley\u2019s committee? By covering anything which \u201caccelerates the rate of fire of a semi-automatic rifle,\u201d banned items would include<\/strong><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n
