Bloomberg’s \u2018Moms against Guns\u2019 lead agitator, Shannon Watts, is coming to town to dictate the joys of gun control to North Carolina\u2019s citizens, and our own WBTV is giving her the platform to do it\u2026 <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s true, New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg is sending his favorite minion, Shannon Watts, to North Carolina to enlighten us all on why you, the law-abiding gun owner, is the problem, and to get the ball rolling on New York-style gun control in our state.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

WBTV Excludes the Community<\/strong>
Watts will be one of several anti-gun panel members participating in a grossly out-of-balance discussion on guns, broadcast by Charlotte\u2019s WBTV<\/a> television station. Although it\u2019s supposed to be a \u201ccommunity\u201d conversation, it seems that the pro-Second Amendment members of the community have been short-changed, while an out-of-state anti-gun activist (not a member of the community<\/em>) will be given a voice, surrounded by media and panelists who will do nothing but nod for each other\u2019s misleading statements, and validate each other\u2019s misguided, harmful opinions regarding gun ownership<\/strong><\/span>. <\/p>\n

Although Grass Roots North Carolina was initially contacted by WBTV to participate in this “Community Conversation,” it soon became clear that the pro-gun rights portion of the conversation would be represented by a singular voice. However, those with an anti-gun rights position, those likely to spread false statistics, and who are comfortable demonizing gun owners like you, and would work in concert to drown out that singular voice, would be represented by\u2026 everyone else on the panel<\/strong><\/em><\/span>!<\/strong><\/em> If this sounds like a setup to you, then you\u2019re familiar with the tactics of today\u2019s media, and WBTV\u00a0is no exception<\/strong><\/span>.
