Our friends at Gun Owners of America tell us they have Good news and bad news regarding the Senate \u201ccompromise\u201d on the leftist reauthorization of S. 3623, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (also known as VAWA).<\/span><\/p>\n

The good news is that GOA was able to pressure Senators to take out a lot of terrible anti-liberty provisions which were passed by the House.\u00a0 The bad news is not all of the anti-liberty provisions were removed.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

We need you to contact both of your Senators today and tell them to remove all anti-liberty language.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Domestic violence is not a partisan issue.\u202f But congressional Democrats want to use it as a vehicle to enact their gun control agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n

Suffice it to say, the bill does nothing to help the abused protect themselves.\u202f Rather, it showers money on special interest groups who support anti-liberty politicians.<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of empowering people to defend and protect themselves, this bill seeks to keep victims as victims and deny them the ability to learn how to overcome their victimhood by exercising their Constitutional and God-given right of self-defense through a firearm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stand up for what you believe in and tell your Senators to oppose this bill!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    As of now, this anti-liberty bill has 22 sponsors \u2013 of which, 11 are GOP and 11 are\u00a0Democrats.\u00a0\u00a0Two of these are\u00a0Sen. Tillis, Thomas [R-NC] and\u00a0Sen. Burr, Richard [R-NC]<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n
