Need Volunteers to Help Save the <\/span><\/p>\n

State Fair Turkey Shoot!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

The Raleigh Jaycees need volunteers to help staff the State Fair Turkey Shoot.\u00a0 If they cannot run it this year it is over *forever*.\u00a0They need help filling shifts during the fair!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The turkey shoot is an important first contact for fair attendees from across the state to the fun and safety of shooting sports and by extension gun ownership.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 1952 the Raleigh Jaycees have run the only live shotgun game at the NC State Fair, introducing tens of thousands to the fun of shotgun sports. However, last year they were unable to run the Turkey Shoot due to manpower problems.\u00a0
<\/strong><\/span>
Volunteer duties include setting up and judging targets, handing out shells and getting back the hulls, selling targets, and ensuring safe shooting for fair patrons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fair admission is provided, so you can work a shift and stay to enjoy the fair.<\/span><\/p>\n

Profit sharing arrangements are available to non-profits that provide volunteers to fill several shifts, so contact your friends, church, anyone you think would like to help! Or just sign up to save the Turkey Shoot and preserve this shooting tradition!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
