\u00a0HB50 is legislation to repeal North Carolina\u2019s Jim Crow-era<\/strong> pistol purchase permit system.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
HB50 gets a floor vote in house today around 2-3PM<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
It is critical that you voice your support for this legislation.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Keeping everyone safe by restoring our commonsense civil rights.<\/span><\/div>\n

You know that the \u201cduplicative\u201d Jim Crow-era PPP system does nothing for safety<\/u> because it is possible for someone to get a permit, commit a disqualifying crime, and then use the permit to bypass a background check. Repealing the system will result in background checks being done at the time of sale.<\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0We\u2019re all safer when innocent people can defend themselves<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

If you live in the real world, you know that guns are needed to defend yourself and your family.\u00a0\u00a0But there are those that think this can be done with silly signs or carry bans.<\/span><\/div>\n
