\n <\/strong><\/span>Sen. Thom\nTillis is uncomfortable with the pressure being put on him to approve President Trump\u2019s nominees. Let\u2019s keep the pressure\non!<\/font><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/div>

Sen. Thom Tillis<\/a> (R-NC) went on Fox News<\/a> this past weekend discussing how pressure by third parties, specifically mentioning Heritage Action<\/a>, and GOP\nrepresentatives could backfire. Sen. Tillis appeared arrogant and almost threatening that he could join with 3 other Senators and \u201ckill a\nnomination.\u201d While Sen. Tillis acknowledged his great relationship with Pres. Trump, he doubled down on not rubber-stamping the incoming\nPresident\u2019s nominees. Great relationship, eh? That\u2019s some unimpressively obvious double-speak. <\/font><\/span><\/div> \n

<\/font><\/span><\/div> \n
Any seasoned swamp observer\nmight read the Senator\u2019s signals as an indication he is going to \u201cwant something\u201d for his votes. If so, who knows what he might be\nangling for, but you can be sure it\u2019s quite swampy. Looking at November\u2019s election results, perhaps Sen. Tillis should do a better job\nreading the room and conclude that voters would not appreciate him \u201chorse trading\u201d their mandate away, nor would they soon\nforget. <\/font><\/span><\/div>

President Trump deserves his cabinet!<\/font><\/span><\/strong><\/div> \n

\n <\/font><\/span><\/div>
By most analyses of the 2024 election results, President Trump was,\nindeed, given a mandate. A mandate is an overtly expressed opinion of the majority seeking to have government exercise their collective will. As other\nPresidents before him, he deserves the cabinet he nominates, barring criminal, unethical, or other egregious behavior that would endanger the\nPresident\u2019s agenda.<\/font><\/span><\/div>

\n<\/font><\/span><\/div>
By contrast, Tillis helped draft the \u201cBipartisan Safer Communities Act\u201d which the Biden\nadministration is using to approximate \u201cuniversal background checks\u201d (i.e. gun registration) and was censured by his own\nparty.<\/font><\/span><\/div>

<\/font><\/span><\/div> \n
It has been some time since we have had a president receive such an overwhelming, vocal, one might say deafeningly loud, mandate.\nThis type of mandate only serves to inure the psyche of a self-aggrandizing and pompous politician (e.g. Chuck Schumer). Sen. Tillis runs the risk of\nbeing placed in similar company. No senator, given the current political climate, should wish to be seen in similar light. <\/font>

Tillis: North Carolina voters sent Donald Trump to the Whitehouse for a purpose. Pres. Trump\nhas a mandate, you don\u2019t. We the voters are keeping records, we have long memories, and will not allow you to \u201chorse trade\u201d our\nrights away without paying a heavy political price down the road. <\/font><\/p>
