After tax-paying Americans bail them out,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

are they returning the favor by assaulting the Second Amendment?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After receiving two bailouts totaling over $25 billion of OUR dollars, plus untold numbers of \u201csweetheart deals\u201d like dumping worthless loans on taxpayer-backed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac<\/a>, is Bank of America continuing to pillage our nation\u2019s economy by launching a concerted assault on gun-related businesses?<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Kelly D. McMillan, Director of Operations, McMillan Group International, LLC, the company was recently informed that Bank of America is no longer willing to hold the accounts of their gun-related business.  Here is McMillan\u2019s account of the exchange between himself and Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Can I possibly save you some time so that you don\u2019t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019That is correct\u201d he says.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI replied \u2018That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won\u2019t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?\u2019<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019You have to do what you must,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?\u2019<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing left for him to say.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

McMillan manufactures stocks for the M40A3 sniper rifle used by our Marine Corps designated marksmen. The severing of credit lines potentially jeopardizes production of these weapons currently used by our forces in Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anti-Gun behavior cannot be tolerated by NC-based businesses\u2026<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If Bank of America wants to be anti-gun, they can find somewhere other than Charlotte, NC to do it. We won\u2019t tolerate it in OUR backyard.<\/span>
