Citizens in Wilkes County have communicated to their elected officials that twenty-year-old knee-jerk restrictions on lawful self-defense and the right to bear arms are burdensome and offensive. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/p>\n

The county commissioners have heard this request and plan to conduct a public hearing and vote on the matter. Informed parties have told us that three, and possibly all five, of the commissioners may support the repeal of the ordinance restricting concealed carry in county facilities. The meeting is this Tuesday evening, January 19th at 6:30 PM<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This news from Wilkes County is very encouraging, but it\u2019s not a done deal yet . . . <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
