A United Nations committee wrapped up a weeklong series of “preparatory” meetings. Preparatory of what? Preparing to undermine your Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms, of course. This is the third round of meetings by the so-called “preparatory committee” on the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) as the UN gears up for final negotiations in 2012.

The ATT would regulate weapons trade throughout the world on everything from battleships to bullets. This move must be stopped in the US Senate. Some expected provisions of ATT are: microstamping of ammunition and a requirement of gun owner registration. Imagine that… you will have to be registered in the same manner that some cities register household dogs, and all at the command of a third world anti-American organization.

It is time to stand up and tell our Senators that you will not have your God given and Constitutionally recognized rights regulated or restricted by the United Nations.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED:

• Please contact our Senators:

Deliver this message:

Dear Senator:

There is yet another move in the United Nations, by the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), to undermine the rights recognized by our founding fathers in the US Constitution. We as a people will not stand for our Second Amendment rights being negotiated away through treaty. It is your job as my Senator to protect our rights, not undermine them.

I expect you to do this. Use all your power to prevent the Obama Administration from striking any such deal and if this does come to pass I expect you to use all such power to stop it in the US Senate. Your people are counting on you. I will be monitoring the progress of this through the alerts of Grass Roots North Carolina.

Sincerely,

A Concerned North Carolina Voter
