FINAL PUSH FOR GUN BILLS:
ENCOURAGE YOUR REP

Gun Bills are slated to get a hearing on Wednesday morning. . .

URGENT: Photo Finish Needs a Nudge from You

All of the Gun Bills currently under consideration in the NC House are slated to receive a hearing on Wednesday, in the Judiciary IV committee.

This is great news, but gun-rights defenders cannot yet assume that everything is in order. Unfortunately, House leaders have waited until H-Hour to give these bills a hearing, and there is no telling if the ostensibly pro-gun legislators will follow through as one would expect. Therefore, one more nudge is needed, from you, to make sure we hold these politicians to their pro-gun words.

Call and Email as Soon as You Can

The bills are slated to be heard in committee earlier on Wednesday, and if all goes well, they'll immediately go to the House floor for a vote.

NC House members need to hear from you, both the Judicial IV committee members who will be hearing and voting on the bills during their meeting, and then all of the House members who will vote on the bill on the House floor.

Below, see how you can contact members of the house, and particularly, phone members of the Judicial IV Committee to let them know where you expect the to stand.

Inform NC House representatives that you are paying attention, and insist that they do what’s right.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!

  • CALL MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE J-IV COMMITTEE:
Use the phone numbers below to insist that these committee members support your gun rights by insuring that all three gun bills receive committee hearings, that they are moved to the floor for a vote. If they are rolled into one bill, they should be done so without weakening them. Insist that he or she support these bills with his or her votes in committee and on the House floor.

If you are sent to voicemail, please leave a message.

"Support All Gun Bills with Your Floor Vote"

Dear Representative:

I am writing because I've heard there are three pro-gun bills under consideration in committee on Wednesday, and they are expected to be voted out of committee and sent to the floor for a vote. (They may be rolled into one bill).

I ask that you stand up for the Second Amendment and vote 'yes' on all three bills (or the one composite bill). I, and other gun voters, expect you to do everything in your power to pass these bills in their strongest possible form. Meaning, give them your full support, and vote against any weakening amendments.

Gun-rights voters need your votes on these bills. We are watching, and no
w is you chance to be a gun-rights hero in the eyes of your constituents. Please do the right thing.

I will be monitoring your actions on this matter through Grass Roots North Carolina legislative alerts.

Respectfully,
