ERRATA

TRUDY WADE (NCS027R): An error accidentally attributed Wade with votes from Walend (below). It also omitted her efforts to defeat the Greensboro parks gun ban while on the Greensboro City Council. The recommendation should read:

Vote for Wade, who scored 100% on GRNC’s gun rights candidate survey and who was instrumental in opposing the Greensboro ban on concealed carry in parks while on the Greensboro City Council.”

TRUDI WALEND (NCH113R): An error accidentally omitted her 100% pro-gun voting record from previous sessions of the NC House, bringing her to a GRNC 4-star (****) evaluation and earning the GRNC-PVF recommendation for the race.

GRNC-PVF CANDIDATE RECOMMENDATIONS

US House, District 13 (R):

Vote for Holding: It has come to GRNC’s attention that Republican candidate Paul Coble, in 1995 while on the Raleigh City Council, voted to ban guns in city parks. This was after GRNC shepherded passage of concealed carry but was unable to defeat the weakening amendment under which local governments could still ban guns in parks. In GRNC’s candidate evaluation formula, that anti-gun vote changes Coble’s evaluation to 0-star. Because opponent George Holding submitted a candidate survey with a 95% concurrence score, the recommendation now changes to Holding.

NCH079R:

Vote for Whiteheart, who scored 94% on his candidate survey, earning a GRNC 4-star (****) evaluation. Despite incumbent Julia Howard’s previously good record, last year she voted twice against the interests of gun owners.

NCH113R:

Vote for Walend: In previous terms in the NC House, Walend maintained a 100% pro-gun voting record, earning a GRNC 4-star (****) evaluation and making her the clear choice in the race.

HELP RECHARGE THE BATTERIES

Are you tired of elections yet? Imagine how the volunteers of GRNC feel. By May 8, they will have mailed thousands of election alerts into 7 districts, done automated calls into 5 districts (including 3 large congressional districts), and radio spots into 1 district.

The fact is, this is what is necessary to defend your rights: If GRNC-PVF doesn’t work to put pro-gun politicians into office, we can’t pass the legislative initiatives you’ve told us you want.

But we need your help!

Even using volunteers and squeezing as much as possible out of our limited resources, GRNC-PVF needs your donation. Remember: GRNC is limited by law in using organizational money to influence elections. That means that even if you just joined, we need you to contribute to the GRNC Political Victory Fund.
