Let that sink in.
While Grass Roots North Carolina has fought for over a year to pass SB 50, the Freedom to Carry NC Act — constitutional carry for law-abiding North Carolinians — five House Republicans have planted their flag on the wrong side of the Second Amendment:
❌ Rep. Jimmy Dixon (District 4 — Duplin/Wayne)
❌ Rep. Ted Davis Jr. (District 20 — New Hanover) [RETIRING]
❌ Rep. Stephen Ross (District 63 — Alamance)
❌ Rep. William Brisson (District 22 — Bladen) [RETIRING]
❌ Rep. Harry Warren (District 76 — Rowan)
These are not Democrats. These are elected Republicans who ran on a platform of constitutional rights, who took Republican votes, accepted Republican support, and now — when their constituents need them most — are siding with Governor Stein and Moms Demand Action to deny you the right every other law-abiding adult in 29 other states already enjoys.
And Rep. Harry Warren isn’t just any backbencher. He is the House Majority Caucus Joint Liaison — a leadership role in the very Republican caucus he is helping to undermine. He is betraying his constituents and his caucus from the inside.

1. Identify yourself as a gun owner and a voter in North Carolina.
2. Tell them you support SB 50 and expect a YES vote on the veto override.
3. Make clear that their vote — or their refusal to vote — WILL determine your support in November 2026.
You are not asking. You are informing them of the consequences.
Gun owners built the Republican majority in this state. A Republican House that cannot deliver constitutional carry — after passing it, after the Senate overrode the veto — does not deserve to keep that majority.

Dear Representative [NAME],
I am a gun owner, a law-abiding North Carolina citizen, and one of your constituents. I am writing to demand that you vote YES on the veto override of Senate Bill 50, the Freedom to Carry NC Act.
This is not a complicated issue.
SB 50 does not create new rights. It removes an unconstitutional government permission slip that law-abiding citizens should never have needed in the first place. Twenty-nine other states have already recognized what the Second Amendment makes plain: the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. North Carolina is long overdue.
The North Carolina Senate voted to override Governor Stein’s veto. It is now time for the House to do the same.
I want to be direct with you about the political reality: gun owners are the most reliable Republican base voters in this state. We show up in primaries. We show up in generals. We volunteer, we donate, and we bring our neighbors to the polls. But that loyalty is not unconditional, and it is not automatic.
If House Republicans allow SB 50 to die — through a no vote, through an absence, or through continued delays — gun owners across North Carolina will remember it in November 2026. Not just the holdouts. The entire caucus will own the outcome. When your base asks why constitutional carry failed after Republicans controlled both chambers and the Senate had already overridden the veto, there will be no answer that satisfies them.
A YES vote on SB 50 is not just the right vote for your constituents. It is the right vote for your party. It is the vote that keeps gun owners motivated, engaged, and in your corner when the margins are tight and every Republican voter counts.
I am asking you to vote YES on the SB 50 veto override — for your constituents, for the Constitution, and for the future of a Republican majority that cannot afford to take its base for granted.
