IS SHERIFF SCHATZMAN TATTLING? |
Dave Griffith will remove obstacles to gun permits, supports reform of our Jim Crow-era pistol purchase permit law, & indicates willingness to sign Form 4s for Title II firearms …
On Tuesday, May 6,
VOTE DAVE GRIFFITH FOR SHERIFF!
Because of a perfect 100% score on his candidate survey, the GRNC Political Victory Fund recommend Dave Griffith for Forsyth County Sheriff in the May 6 primary election. Indeed, Griffith’s pro-gun stance starkly contrasts Sheriff Schatzman’s recent shenanigans with the Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) application process. However, tipping off voters to this contrast just before a primary election seems to have struck a nerve with a member of Schatzman’s “Sheriff’s Citizen Patrol.”
Yes, GRNC-PVF has received yet another accusatory letter from a member of the “Citizen Patrol,” this time threatening action from the State Board of Elections, and one can only wonder if Sheriff Schatzman himself is actually behind this jihad against GRNC-PVF’s truth-telling. Even after GRNC-PVF provided a detailed timeline, along with irrefutable documentation, regarding Sheriff Schatzman’s illegal CHP application requirements, Schatzman’s minions insist that the facts aren’t the facts. Yet, all of the information GRNC-PVF has provided to gun-rights voters is entirely accurate, and proof can be reviewed by anyone simply by clicking here. This most recent letter from Sheriff Schatzman’s citizen patrolman “tattles” to the State Board of Elections by sending them a copy, and expressing doubt that GRNC-PVF “can perpetuate improper information in order to affect the outcome of an election.” Of course, there is nothing “improper” about the truth, and as to whether GRNC-PVF “can” disseminate information to voters to affect the outcome of an election, we actually do have a “permit” for that. It is called The First Amendment.
Should there be any question, a copy of this will be provided upon request to Sheriff Schatzman and his “Citizen Patrolman.” Is Sheriff Schatzman behind these absurd attacks on GRNC-PVF’s right to inform voters about the Sheriff’s anti-gun record? Below you will see what you can do to get to the bottom of this, and find out if the “Citizen Patrolman” is really just a mouthpiece for Schatzman.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED! |
- CALL SHERIFF SCHATZMAN at 336-917-7327. Ask him if HIS “Citizen Patrolman” is acting as a proxy for him, and if so, suggest that the Sheriff stop hiding behind his volunteer citizen patrolmen. Rather, as a candidate for Forsyth County Sheriff, Schatzman should stand up and speak for himself. If he would like to defend his illegal actions revolving around the Forsyth County CHP application process, the voters should hear it directly from him.
- E-MAIL SHERIFF SCHATZMAN at this address: schzman@yahoo.com – Below, you’ll find a suggested message you can use.

“Are You Using Proxies to Obscure Facts?“
Dear Sheriff Schatzman,
I’ve recently been informed of a letter that one of Forsyth County’s volunteer citizen patrolman has delivered to the Grass Roots North Carolina Political Victory Fund. This letter, the second of its kind, has accused GRNC-PVF of lying about your office’s previous practice of requiring employment information as part of the Forsyth County concealed carry permit application process. I have seen the irrefutable evidence, including documentation from your own office, which substantiates the information that GRNC-PVF has relayed to me on this topic. This evidence has been publicly provided on more than one occasion. Yet, even with indisputable proof available, attacks on GRNC-PVF’s integrity, as well as the organization’s right to disseminate information to its supporters, continue via letters from the citizen patrolman.
I have also seen evidence, from an NRA-ILA alert issued last spring, that you oppose repeal of our Jim Crow-era pistol purchase law — a law which let’s sheriffs arbitrarily deny permits to anyone they decide is not of “good moral character.”
I can now only wonder if these letters from your citizen patrolman are not actually driven by you, in an effort to obscure the truth about your anti-gun directives as Forsyth County Sheriff, and to tamp free speech as it’s being exercised by GRNC-PVF. If this “Citizen Patrolman” is indeed acting as your proxy, I would suggest you put an end to the practice. Instead, you should speak for yourself. I will continue to monitor this issue via alerts from GRNC-PVF.
Respectfully,
