Yet again, “Moms Demand a Gun Ban” is attempting to bully another retail outlet into banning guns from their stores. This time their target is, well, Target.
Don’t let the message from this small but shrill group of anti-gun matrons be the only thing Target hears on this issue. To combat this Michael Bloomberg astroturf, please phone and e-mail Target to politely explain to them that banning gun-owning customers from their stores would be a big mistake. It would be unsafe, it would be a PR disaster, and it would have an adverse affect on their bottom line.
Join other peaceful, law-abiding gun owners to combat the anti-gun rent-a-mob that is “Moms Demand” or “Illegal Mayors” or “Everytown,” or whatever name Bloomberg’s lackies are using nowadays. Below, you’ll find contact information and a suggested message you can use to let Target know what you think about gun bans, and warn Target about the Bloomberg astroturf campaign that is coming their way.
IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED! |
- Phone Target, (800) 440-0680:
Politely inform the nice person on the other end of the phone that you are aware of the “Moms Demand Action” campaign against Target, and you’re sorry that this extremist group is attempting to get Target caught up in a controversy. Tell them that you are a peaceful, law-abiding gun owner, and that you shop at Target, or you plan to, as long as your rights continue to be respected. Should they ban guns, you will be forced to shop elsewhere, somewhere safer, where good people are not barred from protecting their families.
- E-mail Target, Guest.Relations@Target.com:
Copy/paste the suggested message provided below.
- Tweet the following message:
Another peaceful, law-abiding gun owner who’ll continue to spend money at #Target as long as they respect my rights. #GunsSaveLives @jjones

Suggested Subject: “No Gun Ban at Target“
Dear Guest Relations Representative:
It is my understanding that an extreme anti-gun group has mounted a campaign to pressure Target into banning guns from its stores. It’s shameful that this tiny but noisy group is unnecessarily dragging Target into the national gun debate. However, because they are forcing Target into the discussion, I am writing to inform you that caving to the pressure from this small but shrill group would be a huge mistake.
I am a peaceful law-abiding gun owner, and as a rule, I only shop where I know my rights are respected. Posting your stores against guns would do nothing to make your customers and employees safer, but you would be turning away countless gun-owning customers who, like me, will simply take their business elsewhere. We’ll simply shop somewhere safer, somewhere our rights are respected.
I ask that you not cave to the pressure brought by this small group of anti-gun extremists who have put your company in their crosshairs. Giving in to them would be a PR disaster, and would be quite detrimental to Target’s bottom line. Please keep Target safe. Please continue to invite all peaceful, law-abiding shoppers, including gun owners.
I will continue to monitor this issue via alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina.
Respectfully,
