GRNC Alert 03-29-17 MELT THE PHONE LINES!

MELT THE LINES
CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY & MORE

This is a friendly reminder asking you to continue calling and emailing NC House leadership. It is critical that they be reminded that their actions on this session’s gun bills are being closely and continuously monitored.

It remains critical that House leaders understand that gun owners will not accept failure on any of these bills. We are well aware that leadership has the influence and resources necessary to move these bills toward passage, and we saw evidence of that on Monday night, with HB 174.

Insist on Constitutional Carry

Insist on Campus Carry
Insist on PPP Repeal

See below for contact information and phone/email text so you can keep the pressure on.

DELIVER THIS PHONE MESSAGE:

Hello, I’m a North Carolina gun rights voter, and I’m calling  to insist that each of the House leadership members do whatever it takes to push the important, marquee gun bills, and that they do it now.

Time is running out, and voters like me who put the Republicans in the majority will not be happy with meager bread crumbs. We expect important gun bills, like Constitutional Carry, Campus Carry, and Pistol Permit Repeal to clear committee, and receive a floor vote.

Failure to pass these pro-gun bills will be seen as a failure of House leadership. Please pass my sentiment along to the representative, and let him know that we’re watching closely. Thank you.

The Clock is Ticking: Move Marquee Gun Bills Now!

Dear Representative:

I was quite pleased with the passage of HB 174 on Monday night. Thank you for getting that done.

I am also writing today to remind you that the clock is still ticking on this legislative session, and I still haven’t seen any of the other marquee gun bills brought to the floor for a vote.

North Carolina voters have given your party the majority in Raleigh for the express purpose of supporting and passing legislation such as these important gun-bills. As encouraging as they may be, a sprinkling of small, ancillary gun bills is not going to satisfy the voting citizenry. I must insist that you follow through, not only on the smaller bills, but also, and especially, on  the marquee bills noted below:

  • Constitutional Carry (H69 and H201)
  • Concealed carry on UNC and community college campuses by CHP-holders (H251)
  • The Omnibus Firearms Bill (H345)
  • Concealed Handgun Standardization Act (H438)
  • Elimination of the Jim Crow-era PPP system (H201)
With your full support, I expect these important, pro-Second Amendment bills to receive hearings, move out of committee, and to the House floor for a vote. I know that House leaders have the authority to make this happen, and no excuses for failure will be accepted.

I will continue to monitor your actions on this matter through alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina.

Respectfully,
