REGISTER & VOTE
|
Observing the Left’s tantrum over President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, it’s easy to see what we’d be up against if the so-called “Blue Wave” takes hold in November. You might already be champing at the bit, but if you usually don’t vote, clearly there has never been a more critical time to make your voice heard. With this in mind, GRNC encourages all who believe in the Bill of Rights to:
- REGISTER TO VOTE if you’re not already registered.
The voter registration deadline is October 12. That’s just six days away!
- MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NOT BEEN PURGED FROM THE VOTER ROLES. If you haven’t voted in several years, contact your county Board of Elections to check on this. Under some circumstances, certain voter registrations are deactivated.
- ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO REGISTER & VOTE. Remind them that anti-gun voters will be out in droves this November, and his or her vote is desperately needed.
- VOTE EARLY. Vote as early as you can and encourage others to do the same.
The political world is vibrating with energy this year, and that means making your voice heard is more important than ever. One can only imagine how a successful “Blue Wave” will affect all levels of government, including North Carolina’s state chambers. Without your vote, gun rights and other important matters could be thrust into the hands of those we currently see vigorously protesting Constitutional textualism. Imagine the damage politicians with those attitudes and maturity-levels would do with the power to walk back gains we’ve made in gun rights, particularly with an anti-gun governor already in place, and warming up his pen.
Why vote early, you ask?
The anti-gun groups work very hard to get their regular voters to early voting. Among other reasons, they do this to ensure that all their reliable voters are “in the bag” before Election Day. Then, before and during Election Day, they work the phones and pound the pavement to drive all the extra voters they can to the polls, and that can make the difference in pulling out some squeakers. Surely, pro-freedom groups employ similar strategies, but if you vote early, these organizations can spend the precious last days and hours of an election cycle locating and directing stragglers to the polls, without wasting valuable time on those who will likely vote anyway (like you). There are varying opinions about the existence of early voting, but as long as it is part of the election cycle, it must be leveraged. If it’s not, the anti-gun crowd may gain great advantages in close races.
We Want to Stay on Offense
Whatever happens, GRNC, North Carolina’s most effective no-compromise gun rights organization, will continue to go to the mat to protect and advance the recognition of your rights. Of course, we’d rather be on offense than defense. Either way you can count on us, but we implore you to vote so we can stay on offense.
VOTE EARLY IF YOU CAN, BUT PLEASE VOTE
