GRNC Alert3/8/21: Important pro-liberty NC legislation

PUSHING BACK ON THE LEFT’S ASSAULT

ON YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS

This year has  been doom and gloom with the incessant attacks on freedom from the authoritarian far-left.

For a refreshing change, we want you to call and support some pro-liberty legislation:
First up, the 2nd Amendment Protection Act. HB 134:
This bill is sponsored by Reps. McNeely, Saine, Adams, and Carter.  It allows anyone who is legally allowed to carry concealed to do so in religious institutions that have attached schools, during non-school hours.  It also allows concealed carry permit holders whose permits have lapsed within certain limits to renew their permits without having to retake the firearms training class.  This is especially needed right now, because permit renewals can take much longer than they should.  Furthermore, it allows certain EMS personnel to carry concealed with appropriate training, allowing them to protect themselves while they provide tactical medical assistance to law enforcement.

The Property Protection Act HB 145:

This bill is sponsored by Reps. Adams, Kidwell, McNeill, and Turner.  It acts to protect the property rights of persons subject to domestic protective orders by allowing them the option of storing their firearms with an FFL instead of having them confiscated by the local sheriff.  It also gives them the option of selling their firearms to or through a Federally licensed FFL.

Leaving the best for last, a Pro-freedom bill to establish Constitutional Carry HB 197:
This bill sponsored by Reps. Pittman, Kidwell, and Rogers is scheduled to be introduced this week.  This bill is Constitutional Carry and preserves your right to bear arms, whether openly or concealed, into the NC Constitution.  This would effectively remove the requirement for a concealed carry permit in order for a citizen in good standing to be able to protect him or herself.

Kudos to the sponsoring Representatives for these bills for protecting our Second Amendment rights and our God-given right to self-defense!  Please contact your Representative and urge them to support these important bills!

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!

Suggested Subject: “Support pro-liberty legislation”

Dear Legislator:

I’m writing to you today to encourage you to support the following pro-freedom bills currently under consideration.

The 2nd Amendment Protection Act. HB 134 will enhance the common sense safety of worshippers as well as protect the safety of first responders.  The Property Protection Act HB 145 would protect the property rights of persons subject to domestic protective orders by allowing them the option of storing their firearms with an FFL instead of having them confiscated by the local sheriff.

The legislation sponsored by Reps. Pittman, Kidwell, and Rogers would establish Constitutional Carry in the state, greatly reforming safety and Civil Rights for all North Carolinians and allowing us to protect ourselves and our families from criminal violence.

Furthering the cause of liberty and Civil Rights is always in the best interest of everyone, especially when it comes to our safety and security.

I will be monitoring your actions through Grass Roots North Carolina legislative alerts.

Respectfully,
