MDA Can’t Tell Fact From Fiction |
Did you hear that Moms Demand Action Subservience, or Everytown For Against Guns Safety, or Mayors Against Illegal Guns, or whatever Michael Bloomberg calls his freedom-hating shills today are claiming “victory”? Most of us wait until we’ve actually won something to declare “victory”.
In truth, the only thing they’ve won is another patch of astroturf. Sonic Drive-In and Chili’s Grill & Bar didn’t “ban guns,” as Bloomberg’s nannies would have you believe, but have instead stated a preference that people not bring firearms to their restaurants. They also said that they wouldn’t ask patrons to leave that were lawfully carrying a firearm into one of their restaurants.
Victory? The only victory here is for the millions of law-abiding gun owners that appreciate Sonic and Chili’s measured response to the harassment they’ve had to endure from a tiny minority of Sisyphean nags.
If you don’t believe us, take a look at this news article that reports a group of Moms Demand Action Subservience protestors getting kicked out of a Tulsa, Oklahoma Chipotle last Saturday. Apparently the patrons that were open carrying were acting polite and well-mannered. The same could not be said of Bloomberg’s protestors that were asked to leave by the store’s management.
These moms have a short memory. They apparently don’t remember the story of a drugged-up junkie stabbing a loss prevention officer at Home Depot a few months ago; a stabbing that could have been a lot worse had an armed citizen not intervened and stopped the attack with his lawfully concealed handgun. Maybe that’s why Home Depot allowed a huge open carry rights group to visit their store in North Richland Hills, Texas last weekend.
Not exactly the welcome reception that the local chapter of Moms Demand Action Subservience received when they protested at the Staples store in Wake Forest. Coincidentally, only ten people showed up for this unsuccessful “protest”—the exact same number of staffers on Bloomberg’s payroll in North Carolina.
Victory? Only in their wildest imagination. Thanks to the hard work of Grassroots North Carolina and its dedicated membership, our message has been heard loud and clear and law-abiding citizens continue to be free to lawfully carry their firearms into Sonic, Chili’s and Home Depot. We call that victory.
Schatzman Changes His Tune |
It was all a big misunderstanding (translation: “VICTORY!”).
William Schatzman (the Forsyth County sheriff that plays fast and loose with the state’s firearms laws) did some backpedaling on his latest attempt to reinvent the law (the subject of Sunday’s GRNC alert). His people insisted that the most recent transgressions of the law were merely clerical errors on the website.
We’re sure that this was just an oversight. Mmm hmm. With our vigilance, there won’t be any more oversights.
IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED! |
Contact Sonic Drive-In, Chili’s Grill & Bar and Home Depot and let them know that “Moms Demand Action” doesn’t speak for you, or the vast majority of Americans. Let them know that you appreciate their decision to respect the second amendment and the right of their law-abiding patrons like yourself to choose how you want to protect themselves from dangerous criminals while you’re enjoying their hospitality.
