SUPPORT THE REPEAL OF
|
Citizens in Wilkes County have communicated to their elected officials that twenty-year-old knee-jerk restrictions on lawful self-defense and the right to bear arms are burdensome and offensive.
The county commissioners have heard this request and plan to conduct a public hearing and vote on the matter. Informed parties have told us that three, and possibly all five, of the commissioners may support the repeal of the ordinance restricting concealed carry in county facilities. The meeting is this Tuesday evening, January 19th at 6:30 PM.
This news from Wilkes County is very encouraging, but it’s not a done deal yet . . .
Your feedback and support
will go a long way!

DELIVER THIS MESSAGE
Suggested Subject: “Tuesday, Vote to Support Gun Rights”
Dear Wilkes County Commissioner,
I have just been informed that the Wilkes County Commission intends to vote in favor of gun rights on January 19th, and I am writing to express my full support for this position.
A patchwork of “gun-free zones” serve only to make accidental felons out of otherwise peaceful, law-abiding citizens, while doing nothing to ensure anyone’s safety. A vote to open all county facilities to the lawful concealed carry of handguns will express respect for gun rights, our State and Federal Constitutions, and will empower both the citizens and employees of Wilkes County.
Just last month Pitt and Person counties opened their facilities to lawful concealed carry, and two weeks ago citizens of Tobaccoville, in Forsyth County, showed up in force to demand a proposed firearms discharge ban in their Village be voted down, and it was!
Your action to repeal your ban on lawful concealed carry will surely inspire even more to follow suit. Thank you in advance for doing the right thing, this Tuesday evening, by voting to allow lawful concealed carry. I will continue to monitor this issue through alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina.
Sincerely,
GRNC-PVF RAFFLE:
