NEW INFO ON ASHTON LUNDEBY DETENTION

As
reported yesterday, 16-year-old Ashton Lundeby of
Oxford, NC has been detained in South Bend, IN by the
FBI for more than two months under the Patriot Act.
His mother, Annette Lundeby, has been able to get
little information and has been hamstrung by
government stonewalling.
Today, GRNC president and Charlotte Gun Rights
Examiner Paul Valone spoke to Mrs. Lundeby, and her
description of federal abuses in holding her son are
compelling.

Dear [Congressman or Senator]:
Few travesties in American history equal the detention
of 16-year-old Ashton Lundeby by the FBI for allegedly
making bomb threats via the Internet. By all accounts,
not only does he have no history of crimes, the facts
make it nearly impossible for him to have been the
culprit.
More importantly, the FBI has detained a 10th-grader
for 2+ months under an unconscionable application of
the Patriot Act, depriving his mother of information
necessary for his defense.
I demand that you not only pursue an investigation of
the case – and Lundeby’s immediate release – but that
you also work toward the repeal of a law so clearly at
variance with the language and intent of the
Constitution.
